The ultimate mission of the Journal Economics and Development (JED) is to constitute a valuable resource of scientific knowledge and applied research results for academics, practitioners and policy-makers, becoming an indispensable ally in tackling modern economy’s challenges. The Journal of Economics and Development (JED) is a refereed publication of the Department of Economics. It is published by the Department of Economics, Faculty of Business and Economics of the Saint Augustine University of Tanzania. JED focusses on Development challenges that economic units of various firms and industries face in today’s rapidly changing national and international economic environment. The scope of the JED is to publish original, high-quality research work in all areas of Economics having a significant impact on the theory and practice of economics and development.
JED is a Bi-Annual international open access journal dedicated to various disciplines of economics such as agricultural economics, environmental economics, International economics, Monetary economics, Public sector economics, Industrial economics, and other related areas economics and development. JED is a means of interaction between academics, researchers, and employees in various areas of its disciples. JED is interested in original manuscripts (research) in a form of review articles, short communications, case reports, policy briefs, graduate student reports, and related academic writing of original research work, either experimental, theoretical or practical. The Journal of Economic and Development aims to establish itself as a platform for exchanging ideas in new emerging trends in economics and development related areas, that need more focus and exposure.
